History

Twin was established in 1995 to act as sales representatives for two great NZ brands, Whittaker’s and Hubbards.  Both of these companies, and specifically their founders, were drawn to the idea that a sales and merchandising company focused on NZ brands could help compete with large multi-nationals now focusing on the NZ market.

They foresaw that by combining funds from a group of local manufacturers, they could support a sales force and be represented in the supermarket chains as a combined cluster of local brands.

With a blueprint for the new business and the acceptance of the two Brands, 'Twin Agencies Ltd' was born.

The company today

Twin has created an industry leading organisation by constantly attracting, developing and rewarding the best sales people within FMCG.

We have a large team of dedicated and passionate people across New Zealand.

Twin is NZ owned and operated, with a focus on employee health and wellbeing.  We care about our people, and their families.  Our hope is to make a successful business, that can do good for its Brands, its people and the community.

We think we are doing quite well, but we know we can always do even better, so continuous improvement is part of our culture.

We believe our team will always be regarded by the industry as 'One of the Best', if not 'The Best'.

Twin recognised as best in the business by Coalface Consulting.

 

Coalface Consulting collect data through face-to-face interviews from over 90% of Supermarkets in New Zealand, which covers over 100 suppliers and manufacturers. This benchmarking & Customer Satisfaction project is conducted annually and measures rep performance (call frequency / coverage, rep executional levels, merchandising support and overall company satisfaction are the main measures). Coalface are the authority on high performing sales teams in FMCG. 

In the 2023 survey Twin is ranked #1 in Overall Customer Satisfaction.  On top of this our merchandising team have been acknowledged for eleven consecutive years as the #1 team for Merchandising Support.
