Whittaker’s is a family business in New Zealand devoted to crafting the finest chocolate since 1896. They are the only major chocolate manufacturer in New Zealand that ensures quality by controlling the whole manufacturing process – from beans to bar.  Each step in the chocolate-making process, from receiving the cocoa bean in its raw form to the final wrapped product, is done at the Whittaker’s factory in Porirua, Wellington. 

Whittaker’s was established over 120 years ago by J.H. Whittaker, and is now directed by third-generation Whittaker brothers - Andrew and Brian Whittaker. The next generation of Whittaker’s, brother and sister Matt and Holly, also work in the business, currently managing both the Sales and Marketing teams. 

Whittaker’s are proud to have been voted Colmar Brunton’s "New Zealand’s Most Loved Brand” for the last 7 years, and Reader's Digest’s “New Zealand’s Most Trusted Brand” for the last 8 years. Whittaker's is also known for social media leadership in New Zealand with a Facebook audience of 800,000 Chocolate Lovers and has been recognised for best practice by Instagram Global.

Whittaker’s core range features a variety of chocolate flavours available in Blocks, Slabs, and Mini Slabs.  Their top-selling product is the Creamy Milk Block, and other favourites include Dark Ghana, Almond Gold, Creamy Caramel, and the iconic Peanut Slab.  Whittaker’s also have two premium 100g Block ranges - New Zealand Artisan Collection and the Destination range.
